What is the choir uniform?
Ladies: black trousers or a long black skirt, plain long sleeved black top, red scarf
Men: Dark suit, red bowtie
How much is the subscription?
Our subscription is £3.50 per week, which is collected termly by cheque or in cash.
Where do you rehearse, how often and for how long?
We rehearse at the United Reformed Church, High St, Newport Pagnell. We rehearse every Monday evening, except bank holidays and during August, from 7.30-9.30pm.
How many concerts do you do per year and where do you hold them?
The choir gives four main concerts a year and some smaller ones in between. Most of our concerts are held in Newport Pagnell Parish Church or at the Chrysalis Theatre, Willen.
Who runs the choir?
NPS is run by a committee that meets at least four times a year. The AGM is held in January.
How do you join the committee?
Most committee members join at the AGM, but if you are interested in helping to run the choir you can join at any time, just speak to one of us.
Do you have to be able to read music to join the choir?
No, you don’t have to be able to read music, but it helps if you can follow the line of music.
What type of music do you sing?
We sing a wide range of music, everything from Classical to Rock and Pop.
What charities do you support?
NPS chooses a charity to support for the year. This year it is Bucks, Oxon, Berks, Air Ambulance. Last year we supported Friends of Willen Hospice.
Why do I have to enter my phone number on the Contact page?
We ask you to include your phone number so that we have an alternative way of contacting you, especially if the email address is incorrectly inputted.
