Ed leaves us
After very many years (rumoured to be more than half his lifetime) of accompanying Newport Pagnell singers, and some time in which he has commuted each week from Leicester (and sometimes further afield) for our rehearsals, our talented pianist Ed Tomlinson has decided that the time has come to move on.

With much sadness, we said "au revoir" to Ed after our final rehearsal before the summer on Monday 15th July. We wish Ed all the best in his career and his music and look forward to welcoming him back as a guest pianist at concerts in the future.

We are holding a free Taster Session on Monday 9th September 2019. If you are interested in singing and would like to join us for one rehearsal, with no obligation, please do come along.

The Taster Session will take place at the URC Church, High Street, Newport Pagnell, from 7.30-9.30pm, including refreshments, on Monday 9th September 2019.

Along with all the proms essentials the concert also includes some well-known operatic choruses, Habenera and March of the Toreadors from Bizet’s Carmen; Puccini’s Humming Chorus from Madama Butterfly, Chorus of the Hebrew Slaves from Verdi’s Nabucco. Plus Saint-Saëns’ The Carnival of the Animals performed by our own Ed Tomlinson with Kevin Vockerodt.

Springtime in Harmony
We hope that you will be able to join us on Saturday 23rd March for our concert "Springtime in Harmony" featuring a selection of music by John Rutter and Karl Jenkins, raising money for our Charity of the Year, Willen Hospice.

Another wonderful workshop with Paul Leddington Wright
Members of Newport Pagnell Singers, joined by friends from other local choirs, had a wonderful day of music last Saturday, learning the Gloria from Puccini’s Messa di Gloria, ably guided by Paul Leddington Wright. We performed the work at the end of the workshop, but if you missed the chance to hear it then, or would like to join us in singing it, we are performing it again as part of our "Last Night of the Proms" Concert on Saturday 29th June 2019 at the Chrysalis Theatre, Willen, Milton Keynes.
